Particularly welcome are psychologists with an entrepreneurial flair, license or certification, and malpractice insurance. A curriculum vitae and resumer whichever applicable, adds to the initial screening process.
Mental Disability Psychologists are sought for a variety of assignments, both online and offline, requiring their professional expertise. In the forensic arena, MdP’s as expert witnesses give testimony, usually for the defense, regarding validity of confessions, competency to stand trial, and current intellectual functioning. Another more frequently called up assignment involves a challenge to psychological testing by school psychologists–either for or against a child considered for special education placement. And as a unique specialty is service for millions of applicants and claimants who each year come under Social Security’s umbrella. Major emphasis is focused upon professional participation in the two previously mentioned federal entitlement programs.
Emphasis is placed upon mental testing for what we, as psychologists, do best and evolves as a niche pretty much all of our own. Training in such fundamentals, as well as administration, is available through MdP, since some in the profession have concentrated primarily during their careers only in counseling and psychotherapy.

Times must now change. Very good hardball players and their approach demand such tactic for effective efforts toward heartfelt assistance in helping the less fortunate among us. SSI offers one of the best saviors for the poor, low-income, and owners of limited resources. It may well be the only salvation for countless people on welfare—especially as that segment of the population tackles one common denominator: poverty.
A call goes out for involvement by lay people to add muscle to this time for change. Our voices can be heard. It takes a unified front, however.
